What I've heard: Declaring somebody a Blood Enemy while bearing a Mark
 results in miscellaneous curses, insanity, etc. on the target.  Of all the
 Marks, Evil is most effective in this regard.  The Mark fo Wizardry grants
 an effective 25 extra levels for purposes of "regular" (ie, non-AA) spell
 research.  Bill Combs told me long ago that bearing the Mark fo Divinity
 (possibly with the Staff of Divinity as well) made it impossible for your
 last Wounds %-age point (the 100th) to be taken away, but I now suspect this
 to have been propaganda (we were both in CoA#4 (I think) at the time).
 Destiny is an extremely rare Mark.  Power heals you completely at the end of
 every production.  Each Mark has a Mark Item: Axe of Glory, Staff of
 Divinity, Spear of Power (as well as the Staff of Divinity above).  Each
 Mark Item requires the wielder to bear the matching Mark.  Multiple Marks
 do not appear to increase one's chances of an extra action at production.
 I had Xeres Van Tavor wander around for over 15 turns (7 or so production
 turns) with all the Marks but Wizardry and Evil and nothing special ever
 occurred (I had heard that combinations of Marks can promote one to
 Demigod status, of course I never used Xeres in combat, so I dunno).
