I agree with points 1-8 and used to agree with point 9.  Never really seen any
affect from point 9 though.

Another point to bear in mind for major character influenceing is factional
alignment.  In ROI UK, my main character is a corker in the Prestige,INF
stakes and even has a mark.  I tried to influence Regar Blackthorn (who
should have been eating from my hand like a puppy) and got 1/7 hells! I
then noticed some naughty person had converted him to Nagashun and thought
that must be it.  I thus converted him to my rekigon but still got 1/7
Hells.  This is not a racial thing, I can only believe that it is a factional
modifier.
