Legends Food, Weather, SEI and Cleared Land, HELP From: drhj@v1.astro.cf.ac.uk (Dean Johnson) Date: Mon, 05 Jul 1993 16:01:26 +0000 Please help, 2 questions at end of message. Hi There, Two of my positions are getting so large that I now have to worry about not being able to produce enough food because of the cleared land limit rather than just not having enough farmers. Now my initial thoughts went like this; No. of Food = No. of Farmers * Fertility Rating Produced of Province Up to a maximum number of food units equal to the cleared land of the Province (which itself can max out depending on the terrain). I thus thought that the maximum number of farmers you should ever have is: No. of Farmers = Cleared land limit / Fertility Rating As anymore farmers than this will produce food that won't appear in my possessions due to the cleared land limit. Then I remembered weather effects. This can reduce the food production by up to 50%. So here are the Questions: 1. Is the number of food units you produce calculated, then; a) Checked against the cleared land, then modifed by weather b) Modified by weather, then checked vs. cleared land limit If option b) applies, it is worth having 2X the max no. of farmers proposed above to cushion you through Winter. 2. Does and SEI bonus (generated by an Admin/ENG) let your food production exceed the cleared land limit? If it does, this is another way of stacking more population. Any help appreciated.
