Fortifications give the defenders add to their Defense Factors (DF), morale and Attack Factors (AF). They also give an inherent Tactics value. > In the battle in question, the leader was indeed listed as having > leadership 32 overall, though in the slot listing she was only > credited with 8! (Error, or can anyone explain?) The walls had an inherent Tactics of 24 which is added to the Tactics of the Overall Commander of the force. > But even with tripling, that still leaves a base DF near 40! Could something else (besides leadership > and fortifications) also add, or could the two multiply instead of adding? Whichever side has a higher Tactics gets an Overall Bonus of 5 times the difference. This modifies the DF and AF values of the force. So if the walls give +10 DF and the Overall Bonus is +100%, you add the 10 to the DF of the soldiers and then double the result. Are the Dwarven Knights in a Reserve Slot? Are they set to charge? Remember that any slots set to charge don't get the bonuses from the walls. However, they probably still get the bonus from the inherent Tactics of the walls as that effects the Overall modifier.
