DM: First DM! revsiisited From: gharris@jade.tufts.edu (George W. Harris) Date: Thu, 26 Aug 1993 13:42:52 +0000 Well, a couple of weeks ago I posted celebrating my first warrior to achieve Duelmaster in his arena, and there was some discussion of his exploits. Someone requested a look at his vitals, but by that time I was at the beach for a week, so I didn't get the chance. Well, another turn has come and gone, and my warrior got matched up against a wall of steel (not good for a lunger) who had 16 more fights (another bad sign) and had also already beaten him twice (things is looking pretty grim). Well, surprise, surprise, my lunger broke the waste's quarter- staff adn won in two minutes, raising his record to 15-6-3, 119! So, to celebrate his successful defense, I thought I'd go ahead and post about him again. I figure one more successful defense, and he'll be ADM qualified (yea! my first warrior in ADM!). So, here he is: 11(12)-10-13-17-13-7-13. Not bad for a lunger, but not great, either. Optimally, he should have at least a 15 will, but he hasn't had much trouble with hanging in there when he gets hit, so it's not a serious problem. As for skills, currently he's got AdEx in Attack, Riposte and Defense and Ex in Defense. He's going nowhere in Decis and Parry (I think he's got one Parry learn, but who cares?). And as to comments, well, in the Wt section he's got four: seldom hesitates, moves instantly (that's the truth); uses an unusual fighting style, deadly to slower, less active foes (to three of them so far, in fact); learned the finer points of parrying (yeah, right, he hasn't parried a single blow in his career); and has turned avoiding blows into an art form (mostly by taking his opponent out before they get a chance to strike). So, for all you curiousity-seekers, or anyone in Veastian who might want to use this info to advantage (have at you, Blue!), here he is. -- The Hero Warriors "The moment had come, I swallowed my gum, Veastian Arena We knew there'd be blood on the sands pretty soon! Overall/Last 3 Turns The crowd held its breath, hoping that death 57-54-6/10-5-0 Would brighten an otherwise dull afternoon." Referenced By Up
