Bloodpit: DM and AG Fans From: mcgeorbr@ucbeh.san.uc.edu Date: Tue, 24 Aug 1993 12:39:26 +0000 I was at GenCon last week and somebody shoved a copy of White Wolf Magazine in my hands. Flipping through the pages, there was a big ad and a feature review on a play by mail or play by E-MAIL game called Bloodpit. It seems to be an exact copy of Duelmasters with the addition of fantasy races, 5 more styles, and, oh, a heck of a lot more stuff that RSI should have added to DM over the last 5 years or so. Get ready for this - the cost of running your team of 5 warriors by email is $1.00 a turn. (I think the non-email cost was $4.00 per turn.) I'm sending in my $10.00 for setup, diskette, etc... (which includes 10 free turns, btw). I'll post more info if anyone is interested. The only questionable part to this whole thing is White Wolf's involvement in the game. Supposedly, after the review was written (by White Wolf's editor no less), White Wolf bought the company that makes BloodPit. So, in essence, they were reviewing their own game... Well, that never stopped anyone before. Bruce McGeorge DM & AG, but for $1.00 a turn... Up
