SUGAR RAY results turn 6 From: fkschmid@cip.informatik.uni-erlangen.de (Frank Schmidt) Date: Mon, 13 Sep 1993 18:48:58 +0000 Turn 6 Match reports "This week the dream championship fight takes place..." writes Garham Times (see below in the NEWS). They were 150% right. Max Vorstadt announced he would beat Bomber Jack into a geostationary orbit, and Bomber Jack wasn't much friendlier... The fight began, and Max spent the first three rounds strictly defending, while Bomber Jack got the points. But then Max turned the match around; one hit after the other brought Bomber Jack at the edge of KO, but round 4 ended just at the right time for him. The final round began, and Max prepared his 'orbit'-beat. But with his last endurance reserves Jack jumped aside, and instead of him Max hit the referee. *OUCH* A referee in geostationary orbit can't do his job, so Max was disqualified by the judges and Bomber Jack was declared new champion. Munch 'Meathead' Howitzer was unlucky, too. His opponent Snafu managed to guess his strategy and so Munch lost by KO again. Lamont Lovelady shows he can vary his strategies: This time he won by KO with a rather defensive strategy, and so Lamont is the next challenger of Bomber Jack. Maybe he will be the next champion? Who knows... Garham Times(gerstnet@informatik.tu-muenchen.de)(Thomas Gerstner) writes: This week the dream championship fight takes place in the Madison Square Garden of Erlangen. Thousands of people came to see the fight between the current champion Max Vorstadt and his challenger Bomber Jack. Although Jack looks physically much stronger compared to Max 'The Kid' Vorstadt, he knows that it will be much harder for him than the last time, when Max lost the fight due to a terrible last round. Reporter : Jack, what is your prediction? Bomber Jack: Yo, I will stomp tis loser into the ground. Reporter : Ah, well, what tactics do you think Max will go? Bomber Jack: Uhm, dunno. Reporter : Oh - and what tactics do you have? Bomber Jack: Yo, I will stomp tis loser into the ground. Reporter : Yes, sure, but... Bomber Jack: Sorry, man, have to enter the ring. Reporter : And there he goes - let's hope the best. Being Bomber Jack's own fanzine, Garham Times is a bit one-sided, but this is just what I want in this 'STORIES' part. It was the only comment :-( NEWCOMERS IN TURN 7 WILL START WITH (12,24) IN LEAGUE V.
