This time it's a clear point win, 29:10. Max tried to knock Jack out, but failed. Good news: Next week Lamont Lovelady will be back in a fight against Little Frank. There seemed to have been a kidnapping, but now everything's OK again. Michael Freeman and Bill Trevis can choose so, too. NEWS AND STORIES Rodney Schuler(rschuler@iastate.edu)(Lamont Lovelady) writes: Championship fight fixed. Challengers wife kidnapped. Las Vegas, NV USA (AP) Alleged Mafia boss Alphonse Ramasso has been arrested on kidnapping and racketeering charges. Ramasso is accused of kidnapping in an attempt to fix the recent championship fight between the champion Bomber Jack and the challenger Lamont Lovelady. Ramasso allegedly kidnapped the challengers wife and held her hostage in an attempt to make Lovelady throw the fight. Rather than loose the fight, Lovelady did not show. The champion, Bomber Jack apparently had no connection with the kidnapping plot. Both the Champion and challenger were unavailable for comment. Loveladys trainer, Rodney Schuler said that Lamont will return to the ring October 4 after a vacation with his wife. This is not the only newspaper reporting about the kidnapping... Thomas Gerstner(gerstnet@informatik.tu-muenchen.de)(Bomber Jack) writes: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Sep 27 Issue 3 THE GLOVE AND PAIN 15c 1F 20pf 3624Y ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- We strongly have to object the accusations from the Erlanger Boxing Association (EBA). They spoke of 'Mafia methods' and insulted our recent press campaign against Lamont Lovelady badly. We are glad to be able to clafify things up and present an interview with Bomber Jack's co-trainer Alca Pone: Times: What can you say in the defense of these accusations? Alca : They are wholly unjustified. The high functionals are jealous of our success and apart from that they are just a bunch of wimps. Times: Why are the accusations unjustified? Alca : For example we set Mrs Lovelady and her 15-year-old daughter Michelle (oh, what a babe!) free again immediatly after the fight. We even didn't demand ransom for we saved the money for the presents for the referee and the point judges this time. Times: Ah thank you very much for this information. Any last words? Alca : Well, I want to greet mamma mia in bella Sicila and of course thanks to Emilio, Alfredo, Julio and all the other guys. Keep up the good work! And here we go again. Max Vorstadt hasn't had enough yet, it seems. Apparen- tly, he is like a little child that never learns that fire is hot. After this fight, I assure you, you will never forget it! You know, there is a common rule that says: "They'll never come back." I tell you, Max, you surely won't. You've had your chance, and you poorly gave it away. You have neither the strength nor the spirit for being champion. Now, what has Bomber Jack to say on this subject: Jack: "Yo, I will stomp tis loser thru the ground!" Yes! That's the spirit, now let's watch the fight. Yes, Bomber Jack himself has no connection to the kidnapping, but the rest of his team...? Reinhard Schoen(rschoen@mathematik.uni-ulm.de) (Max Vorstadt) writes: Sorry for the referee incident. I should improve my tactics: After a jab feint to Bomber's head, I quickly turn around to beat his manager out of the building. Without this noisemaker, Jack should be easy prey. The 'easy prey' beat you 29:10. Haakon Gaut(gulla@lise.unit.no) (Saint G) writes: Micromicrophone taperecording from Saint G's training area: Saint G: 'Well then I just finish off this Robert Skunk and then what?' Coach: ' You then have the special pleasure of meeting Bomber Jack, the Champion. Nobody really thinks poor old Max have a chance.' Saint G: 'Hey! Thats not according to plans! Nobody told me I would have to fight Max! Have you ever seen those fists of his?' Coach: 'Calm down G! We'll find some method of beating him too. Don't worry! That's my job!' Saint G: ' But.... but... Think about what he'll do to my pretty face! You _NEVER_ said that I should meet Bomber Jack! I don't want to! He'll make meat pudding out of me!' Coach (wispers): ' Well, we could always use his own methods..... Remember Lamont Lovelady. He wasn't a pretty sight when the cops finally found him......' Saint G: ' I would Never get involved in such activities! You're Fired!! I will beat Bomber Jack Fair, or no way at all! here the tape ends, and the future developments in the training area are unknown. We'll see how Saint G stands up to Mafioso Jack when that time comes. For now we only pitty poor Mr Skunk... Three things: Your opponent is indeed KO, but you too. You're indeed the next challenger of Bomber Jack. And your (ex-)coach seems to have some connections to some people mentioned above in the other news... If you want, you can send news anonymously, without your realname and mailaddress.
