ARENA: New "Tournament" Format From: srt@aero.org (Scott 'Dr. Pain' Turner) Date: Wed, 29 Sep 1993 04:32:02 +0000 As promised, ARENA will soon be restarting in a new "tournament" format. The ARENA will begin accepting orders for the new format Sept. 29th at 10 AM, and the first turn will be run later that day. Summary of the new format: * Turns will be run twice a day. * No open challenges. You may challenge any fighter with as many wins as you have; he must accept the fight. * Starting money will be 100 gold, the prize for winning a fight will be 5 gold. * The damage from impact weapons will be reduced. * The ARENA will run for a limited time (4 or more weeks) and a champion will be crowned at the end of that time. * To make it easier to schedule fights, the ARENA will provide a list of "Suggested Matches" in each turn report.
