Fantasy Wargame: any suggestions ? From: Karel Driesen <kjdriese@vnet3.vub.ac.be> Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1993 10:20:05 +0000 Hi, I am heavy into fantasy war PBM, for example Adventurer Kings and Warriors & Wizards. AK looses some of its sparkle after 5 games (although it is still one of the best in my opinion) and Warriors & Wizards doesn't offer enough mapping support (I have to spend 2 hours updating my own map, mainly because I am not willing to spend magic points on something I can do myself). Anyway, does anybody know a real funky game out there that has the following: - good mapping support (i.e. you can fill in turn X+1 with just the rulebook and the result of turn X) - moderate player interaction (I don't have the time for heavy diplomacy, so ME-PBM is out of the question) - minimal drop-outs (my current W&W game, in which I am fairly much ahead of the rest, feels like a shoot-out in a ghost town with cardboard opponents) Any suggestions welcome, Karel +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Karel Driesen E-mail: kjdriese@vnet3.vub.ac.be | PROG (WE) Phone: (+32) 2-6413306 | Vrije Universiteit Brussel Fax: (+32) 2-6413495 | Pleinlaan 2 1050 Brussels | Belgium +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Up
