Jim Landes posted a message on CompuServe a week or so ago explaining the
situation. A company called F.E.Transport now owns Midnight Games. They are
providing additional financial support. Jim Landes is still with Midnight Games
and is responsible for its day to day running, he just doesn't own it anymore.

He refused to reveal who owns F.E.Transport even when specifically asked by
some of his players on CompuServe. These CompuServe players then proceeded to
make all sorts of wild guesses about who might be the new owners. This could be
where the rumours about it being owned by a player came from.
