Starting out in PBM From: jackryan@iastate.edu (Keith M Kolmos) Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1993 03:44:13 +0000 Hello all, During high school, my best friend and I spent hours upon hours playing old AH games that i got from my dad like France 1940, Midway, D-Day, Panzer Blitz, etc. College has gone by and we have played over Christmas breaks and summers, but graduation is upon us, and we will be working in different cities. We would like to continue gaming by mail, but have never run a PBM game. Is there an FAQ or book about how to set up pbm games to answer some general questions I have about playing, like handling die rolling for combat, making xerox copies of the boards for movement, etc...... On campus, I have access to a 400 dpi scanner and 400 dpi laser printer, I would like any tips from pbm veterans about possibly using this equipment for generating the maps to record movements on, etc. thanks all. keith "Anger, fear, aggression.
