Re: LEGENDS - Bard's Bless From: rai@rb.icl.co.uk (Ross Inglis) Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1993 12:46:11 +0000 In answer to my own earlier question, I have received information that suggests the formulas for Bard's Blesses/Curses are now: Chance of success = ( Skill + SQRT( Skill ) * 8 ) % Effect = SQRT( Skill * 2.5 ) * 5 % So for my Bard-21 character the chance of success was 57% and effect was 36%. This is consistent with what I observed. Note though that I cannot guarantee I have correctly transcribed the above as I received it over the phone. Nor do I know exactly where rounding effects might occur (it is possible that the SQRT() function might be rounded down). Does any of this fit anyone elses recent observations of Bard's work?
