DM: Killin' stats and strategies From: Ben 'Critical' Hitz Date: Fri, 03 Dec 1993 17:21:42 +0000 A recent episode in my home arena (I won't bore you with details) has prompted me to conduct a small survey: I am interested in kills/win ratio in various arenas. If you have nothing better to do, could you check a typical newsletter for a turn in 'YFA', and e-mail me: 1) Arena, Nationality, Turn #, # wins in the last 10 turns, # kills in the last 10 turns. (I don't care how current it is) Much appreciated: Also, an optional questionaire: What is your personal (for a single arena, or all) _regular_ AD kill/win ratio? (don't include DA kills, if you remember) What's the highest number of kills a warrior of yours has (from regular AD)? Do you actively try to kill your opponents? Do you actively try _not_ to kill your opponents? Do you _care_ if you kill your opponents? Do you make a distinction (for these cases) between 'friends' (or allies) and 'enimies'? While running (any) warrior 'offensive' (i.e., trying to get the jump) what kill desire (or range) do you usually use? Do you aim for a particular location? When trying/not trying to kill? Would you say you ran: (mutiple choice) a) Mostly offensive warriors? b) Mostly 'finesse' warriors? c) About equal ? d) Mostly scum (not TP's, scum) ? e) other By offensive I mean: LU, BA, SL, ST; and PS or PL run offensive. By finesse I mean: AB, PR, WS, TP (plus PS/PL run defensive). I don't really care (for the purposes of this study, of course) _who_ you are or what team you run, I'm after statistics not specific info. If you wish your arena to remain confidential, that's OK, but not preferred. I have stats for recent turns in arenas 18,22,30,52,53,63. All others are welcome, particularly Delarquan and Free Blader... I'll be happy to discuss _my_ views on the above, and will post results, if people are interested.
