How odd. When I joined Quest a year ago here in the UK my first printout from
them listed 3 quests as the very first thing. These say stuff like go to
such and such a town and deliver a message to, buy something or get the prices
of something and come back. They then go on to say how much you will get paid
and a numeric code for the quest so you can do a Y nnnn order to accept it.

After that it is people in shops (unless they have no time to talk) who offered
me additional quests.

If you are not getting anything like that then go talk to the people who run
your game and ask what's up.

I couldn't support the habit either and I had only one mage <g>.
