|HELP| conducting combat in RPG using email?? From: ottoa@netcom.com (Otto Amezquita) Date: Tue, 18 Jan 1994 17:53:40 +0000 I heard of a method where you: =G.M. figures out what turn people take. =G.M. posts e-mail stating order that players go, then sends it to the first person. (depending on dex/initiative or whatever) =1st person on list dose his/her turn then posts e-mail to next... =etc.. including G.M. bad guys. =G.M. get final post and sends e-mail to all players stating what happened in the combat turn. Each game would have different rules but basically you would need the following: =method of rolling dice, in a way that confirms the roll. Are there any programs that do this??????????? =method of keeping track of movement. 1-asci maps 2-each player keeps a paper map with coordinates and writes on it. The G.M. would make sure each person gets a copy of the original map. =method of keeping track of characters abilities/skills. Maybe have the G.M. hold on to email with the characters abilities/skills on it and have the player re-post each time he/she takes dammage/increases attributes or looses money. Are there any programs that do this????? ##################################################### I guess I am basically asking for any new methods. The methods I mentioned above I came up with myself after reading an article a while ago. Please post any suggestons.
