Z-80's and Scanners From: michael.mackinnon@mwcsinc.muug.mb.ca (Michael Mackinnon) Date: Sat, 22 Jan 1994 22:21:00 +0000 For my final project, I have to build something involving a Z-80, with either a feedback loop or a coprocessor. I've been tossing around an idea for a business-card reader, but I'd need to know if there's a scanner-like sensor out there that's cheap and easy to get ahold of. I don't need great resolution (ie 10 pixels per inch or something), as it's just to prove that it can work On the other hand, I'm open to any project ideas that may be out there fit the above criteria: a Z-80 microprocessor with fb or a coprocessor. I don't need how-tos, just some ideas that will make me say "hey, that would be neat!", so I can run off and try to figure out how to make it work. Note that having it be affordable would be a plus as well. I keep coming up with great ideas that require me to win two lotteries before I can even get started. (sigh) Thanks in advance. ...
