I have!  My main character priest who was about level 31 did a convert (I
presume that is what Bekehrung means?) character and put in more than 1
spell point (about 10 I think), the attempt was successful but it only
used 1 point.  I also had a lower level Priest try, he cast with about 6
points, failed to convert the target and still only lost 1 point of mana.
