ARENA: Some thoughts From: ut@informatik.uni-kiel.de (Ulrich Teichert) Date: Wed, 09 Feb 1994 09:59:14 +0000 Hi! Now, after 4 turns and one fight in the new Arena, I _had_ to make some comments: First, I had to thank Scott Turner for his effords and time to run Arena again, thank you 1000 times. I like the decision to limit the fights that a gladiator could battle away in one round to two, but the rules to detect if he could fight the challenged gladiator are a bit too harsh, I think. All I get is: Your challenge to XXXX is postponed, because......you know the rest.... My opinion is, that a gladiator could challenge and fight another gladiator if the difference between wins and wins or losses and losses is under a certain margin, say 2 or even less, 1. This will still limit the damage done to faults/bad designed/whatever gladiators and still permits playing for the other ones.
