DM: Great Turn! (5-0) From: mysticbob@aol.com Date: Tue, 08 Feb 1994 18:51:22 +0000 Howdy! Well, once again I owe you netters my thanks. My newly revised team went 5-0 this turn. But a problem has occured that I need some advice on. More on that below. The Fights: 1. Harvey the Short-Term-Boost-My-W-L-Record Lunger, 13(+1)-7-11-5-17-10-21, took care of Mr. Convicted Thief on two hits. I trained ST on someone's advice, was that a good idea? 2. Lorg, a 11-9(+1)-9-17-17-4-17 waste, beat Cult Member in a two-minute duel. He started with an Ex in Attack. I trained Con on someone's advice, should I do it again or not? 3. Starble, a 11-13-5-16-16-6-17 PR, actually won his first fight! It took two minutes and he was behind after the first miute but he came back. He was gravely injured and desperate in the first minute but he still won. :) 4. Tarkus, a 11-5-9-15-17-10-17 LU, Went desperate after the first hit but came back to win in the first minute. If you remember he started with an Ex in both Init and At. Well he gained to Init skills and is now an Ad Ex in Init after two fights. Is there someway to run him that I can take advantage of this or will it just factor in? 5. Mbarl, a 16-15-16-9-11-9-8(+1) BA, is my only warrior that I have from my original five. As you can probably tell I made him before I knew anything about making roll-ups (so please don't tell me his stats are all wrong, I know :). He killed his opponent in the first minute. Now here's the problem his opponent was on a team where the other four warriors are all in the top ten. If they bloodfeud I guess I am screwed. Although it would save Mbarl a trip to the DA (hopefully) which he will eventually have to make. Do you think that he will bloodfeud all the way down to Mbarl (2-1-1)? And if it makes any difference Mbarl was challenged by his opponent. So that is The Elect's third turn. I would appreciate any and all advice. Just so you don't think I'm taking your advice and just putting it into practice without thinking for myself here is how I've been deciding my strategies. I print out every post that has anything to say relating to my impending strategy, clear out a big space on the floor, and put all the advice side by side. I compare it to see similarities, new ideas, differences of opinions, etc. It is very enlightening as well as thought-provoking. So I'll take advice from any source even if you think that you know even less then I do (ya right!) Thanks! -Shawn PS My team could make it to 50% next week! Yay! Referenced By Up
