Albedo RPG PBEM game starting soon. From: fillionl@JSP.UMontreal.CA (Fillion Louis) Date: Fri, 18 Mar 1994 00:39:37 +0000 Hello the world. I will soon be starting an Albedo RPG play by e-mail game. It will run twice a week, at first. While knowledge of the game and/or the Albedo universe is useful, it is not strictly necessary as I will send to the players what is necessary for them to play. Experience with RPGs is a plus but not required. For those who have never heard of the game (not surprising, even though it is good and the universe very interesting), Albedo is based on the "Birthright" and "Albedo" comic strips by Steven A. Gallacci. It is a science-fiction game, although a "realistic" one (some things you can't get away with). By realistic I mean sensible technologies and social mecha- nics. Another side of Albedo that is of note, is that the characters are anthropomorphic animals (funny animal, furries). Those critters have some humanoid characteristics (hands, use of tools, reason, walk erect) but have their own culture and society. For those of you that do know Albedo, my campaign will be set some 20 years after the final EDF/ILR war. The war is over, but the situation through known space is dismal as the EDF tries to save what can be saved. The players will be part of the infantry crew of an EDF combat transport, although their range of skills need not be limited to combat skills. Although the players will be EDF soldiers, their actual professions can range from soldier to engineer to doctor to programmer to... Also, as ships are extremely valuable, only competent, experienced and higly motivated personel are put on board, so you can have just about any background you want (within reasons) with the skills that go with it. If you want to play, respond to the address below: I will take the candidatures on a first-come first-serve basis, more or less :-) fillionl@jsp.umontreal.ca Louis Fillion. Up
