PBeM Baseball League Forming From: James LeBlond <JLEBLO31@portland.caps.maine.edu> Date: Thu, 17 Mar 1994 00:23:27 +0000 Hello everyone out there. I don't believe my first posting went through, so I'm sending out one more. I'm looking to form a PBeM Baseball League. It will have all 28 Teams, but not the players. You get to think up names, positions, etc. We will try not to hit any infringements, since there is no money involved in playing, etc. This is all f or fun, and all a test to see how it works out. For now, only one season will b e played, but may continue if it works well enough, my schedule, and the patien ce of everyone out there. I'm hoping to get 28 interested parties to run a full 162 game season. Most sta ts will be kept by the individual owner themselves. I'll only be generating ove rall standings, league leaders in major categories, etc. I will supply what I c an, and am looking for suggestions from anyone about what should be included in stats. Regular box scores, with a How They Scored box? If you're interested, please send e-mail to the address printed above. jleblo31 @portland.caps.maine.edu is the correct one to me. I'm looking for interest now , will generate a mailing list, then carryout more information IF there's enoug h interest. The hope is to get 28, if not, first 14 will get the shot, and each person gets one American team and one National team. I'll get into specifics once I get responses. I'll post here when possible indi cating how many have expressed interest. Also, first come, first serve. You'll get to choose which stadium you play at. Also, please indicate your preference of AL or NL in your interest letter. You'll be notified by me if that league is filled. I've rambled on long enough. I'll be looking for responses and will keep notes here as to when we'll get underway. Hopefully by the time the real season start s. Rules will go out in one big batch to everyone once we get started. Let's hope we have enough interest.
