Marketing a PBM game From: ac829@FreeNet.Carleton.CA (Andrew Hopkinson) Date: Tue, 15 Mar 1994 17:27:59 +0000 Hey, I am currently running a pbm wargame called Castlerock and I am considering marketing it. The game as been pretty thoroughly playtested over about 5 years and all the players who play it say it's a good game. Some people have said it's the best pbm game they've ever played. Right now it's only a text type of game, with a map .gif that I e-mail to people but it's still very good. There are two ways I can think of doing it: either run multiple games and charge per turn or put the whole thing in a box and sell it as a product, i.e. the rules, the map and maybe some of the programs I use to run it for the GM. I don't really have much experience with this sort of thing. If anyone has any suggestions or comments I would welcome them, just e-mail me. -- Andrew Hopkinson | "Let us loiter together and know one another." ac829@freenet.carleton.ca | -Harry Partch | Referenced By Up
