READ THIS : CHANGES IN DUTCH FTP SITE From: frits@cp.tn.tudelft.nl (Frits Kuijlman) Date: Tue, 19 Apr 1994 07:40:53 +0000 I just hope this title got everybody's attention. At the moment I have a job here at the University of Delft in Holland. In that position I have been able up to now to maintain an ftp site, known to you all as ftp.cp.tn.tudelft.nl. My job here ends in a few months, and I haven't the faintest idea how much longer after that I will be allowed to keep this site running, independent of the fact that I might not have the time. I am one of the sysadmins here now, to permission was no problem:-) I am working together with Bryan McDonald, Greg Lindahl and Rich Skrenta to try to setup some alternatives, but if you have a computer available and are willing to become the new European site then please contact me. I will try to contact everybody who has put original stuff here, and I'll also post an announcement on rec.games.pbm. The plans for now are to make sri.com the main pbm site and to make this one only a mirror for as long as it stays in the air. We will try to make this a slow and smooth transition. If you have put files on my site then please contact me so that we can arrange a smooth transfer to another site. This will affect Arena, Atlantis, Battle, Conquest and Destiny, Galactic Conqueror, Gondor, Monster Island, not Olympia, Plateau, Sparf, Star Empires, Sugar Ray, not Tnyc and Trax. I might have forgotten some of the smaller ones. The mirrors that I have will stay here until the very end. It is up to the new site (contact Greg or Bryan) to decide whether they will continue mirroring. This could affect the mirrors of the Galaxy, Legends, EEFL, VGA PLanets, and Celestial Empire archives. The mirror of the MtG archive will probably disappear as that was more for private use than a public service.
