1. Leading the way; trailblazing: a pioneer of space exploration.

The word �Pioneer� is rich in history- we all know of the Pioneer�s who
paced the Oregon Trail in search of land out west. The Alaskan Gold Rush
was a group of pioneers. Pioneering citizens founded California. In a way,
America itself was built on pioneers. Not only America, but every single
county in the world owes its existence to Pioneer�s, doesn�t it? It takes
a person to lead the way to a new land. Can Pioneers reach beyond land
growth? Can they explore space as well?

Starfleet thinks so, and so does the crew of the USS Pioneer. Intrepid
Class, registry number NCC 74757. Our crew is made up of Pioneers who want
to explore their abilities as Starfleet Officers through their writing. We
are a Play-by-E-Mail Role-playing game in the Obsidian Fleet ring of Star
Trek RPG�s. Our mission: to Pioneer space exploration and defend the
Federation which we hold dear. We do so through our writing- are you ready
to be a Pioneer?

Set in 2383, Pioneer is a brand new Intrepid Class starship with advanced
scientific and defense abilities. Her crew, selected from the finest
officers in the fleet, is dedicated to making Pioneer the best ship in
Starfleet. They can�t do it alone, though. The Obsidian Fleet is based in
the Loki Sector, bordering the Romulan Neutral Zone. Do the Romulans pose
any threat to the Federation after the fall of the Shinzon government?
They claim to be embarking on a new adventure into scientific exploration
and say that their days of military conquest are over. While Starfleet
holds onto the hope that this may be true, Obsidian Fleet is always ready
to defend the Federation from external threats. When there isn�t a battle
to be raged, there is exploration to be done. Dangerous, unexplored,
unknown space anomalies lie all around Pioneer- it is her mission to use
her enhanced systems to explore these new anomalies. What if they have
unknown deleterious affects that harm Pioneer? Could this exploration
involve unforeseen danger? That is the excitement of our mission.

We are truly leading the way in our line of work. Not only does Pioneer
sport an amazing In-Character storyline and crew, but she has a dedicated
staff that will do everything they can to help new crewmembers or veterans
with posting, ideas, and general guidance. We feel that it is our job to
make your experience with us a success- one that you�ll never regret. As
such, we have an experienced Senior Staff that is knowledgeable in both
the Star Trek universe and in posting and writing in general. They will
