Ideas wanted for a space strategy game... We would like to make it similar to Master of Orion or VGA Planets, and probably release it as shareware... Here's a small checklist of how I intend to create the game: - Multi-player - 2 --> 25 or 50 (I haven't decided on the limit of players, as the computer platform may only allow so much.) - A choice of about 15 races - note more than one player can be the same race, but all players put 'priorities' on the different technologies, and therefore have different abilities. - Turn based game (naturally) (the files transferred for turns may be slightly on the larger side, however.) - Approx 10 different technologies, from 'construction' and 'bio-med' to 'focussed energies' and 'anti-matter tech' - 'Devices' (such as cloaking devices) can be placed on any ship desired - if you have the technology (and the room on your ship...) - Random star-scape; every game, the universe will change. I hope to impliment asteroids, nebulae, black holes, worm holes, and several other nifty space oddities... - I hope to add 'Precursor' technology or ships that NO race can develop/ construct I would LOVE to hear from what you people out in net-land would like... Nifty devices, races, special abilities for players/races, what kind of interface you would like to see, any kind of 'scenarios' you would like, etc. ANYTHING you would like to see in a space strategy kind of game... Also, I can't say I'll use everything I get sent, but I'll see what I can do...
