Forgotten Realms PBeM From: smgst15+@pitt.edu (Shawn M Glass) Date: Sat, 02 Apr 1994 20:01:29 +0000 Greetings! I am beginning an AD&D campaign and am looking for seven players/characters. I will accept characters for about one week, and make my decision at that time. The game will gear towards actual roleplaying, and less die roll action. To generate your character, use the following system. You will have 78 points to distribute among your ability scores (I will roll for exceptional strength where it applies). Racial ability restrictions will apply (if I see any charismas of 3 forget it), and I will use the exceeding level limits (optional rule) on pg 15 of the DMG. Characters can be from the PH, kits from the Complete Fighters (paladins and rangers cannot select these kits), Wizards, Thieves, Psionicists, Bards, or Rangers Handbooks, The Tome of Magic, and speciality priests from the FR hardback. No multiclassed kits are allowed, and alignments are restricted to LN, LG, NG, CG, and True Neutral. The proficiency system is used, as are most of the optional rules from the various books. Your starting funds will be the maximum per die -1. For example, if you are to have 3d6x10 gp, you will have 3x5x10=150 gp. Also, your character will start with maximum hit points. Characters will begin with 1 weeks rations (10 days), a spell book if appropriate, and whatever character kits specify. I will determine what is in your spellbook after selection of characters. Adventures will take place pretty equally indoors, in the wilderness, on the seas, and in cities, so any character class/kit is appropriate. Send me important stats that are decided by you (ability scores, proficiences, equipment, etc.) along with a description of your character and background information. A player can send me any number of characters; however, you will, of course, only have one selected. Also send each character separately (it's more convenient for me to print and select). That should be all. I like diversity, so start creating and sending. Also begin postings with "D&D:" so I can keep track of things. Shawn Referenced By Up
