FACTS ABOUT CONQUEST AND DESTINY SCOPE Conquest and Destiny is set in a galaxy of 27 quadrants, 729 sub -quadrants, 19683 sectors, 531441 sub- sectors, and over 4 million stars. It can handle up to 9000 players as a PBM game. It is currently running as a PBM game on Internet with about 100 active players. It has taken over 4 years of development by game designer Dan Canham to bring this game to it's current level. The game was designed from the beginning as real time game. At this point, plans are to bring the game on-line this year in it's real time version. THE GAME DETAILS. Specifics of the game can be found in the game C&D Rulebook and action code supplement. For the purpose of getting a sense of what is possible, here's a short, partial list of what players can do in C&D. As a player you can: * Explore a galaxy of over 4 million stars and many more planets. Discover single stars, binary, trinary, neutron stars, black holes, nebulas, wormholes, novas and supernovas; and then develop the technology in the game to actually use them and their unique challenges and opportunities as part of the game play. Move stars to create your own binary systems. Expand your exploration of the galaxy through worm holes. * Explore millions of planets, gas giants, moons and asteroids, each with unique agriculture, climate, environment, and ore nodes. Colonize , establish, and grow a planetary economies based on those factors. Develop the technology to move the planets to other star system or turn your moons into death dealing battle moons. Build your own Ringworlds, Starbases, Dyson's Sphere's, and System Defense Centers. * Earn valuable galactic credits from mining, trading, taxing planetary populations, pirate raiding, play the stock market, development of planetary power systems, and selling ore and agriculture. You can also set and develop your own galactic companies to develop and sell products and services to other galactic races. * Design your own starships from a wide range of possibilities. Your corporations and design starships that can be sold to other races. Each players can have up to 9999 task forces with multiple ships in each task force. * Participate in combat dozens of different ways with a wide range of weapons and skills. Combat can occur in many venues including task force to task force, task force to planet, battle moon to planet, task force to system defense center, planetary raids, and bio- warfare. Task forces can be pre programmed with specific tactics. Cut through planetary missile defenses with your own strike missiles and interceptors, and land assault troops to take out planetary fortresses and defense troops. Attack enemy task forces, board them, and claim them as your own. Send out spy's and set up clandestine spy centers an d listening posts to learn what you opponents are doing. Launch your planet buster bombs and blow your enemy's planet to bits, recycling the ore for credits. *Communicate with other races through the Galactic United Nations for diplomatic affairs, or directly through the in game messaging system. Set up consortiums and alliances between races or go to war with official declarations. Have named planetary leaders and military commanders that gain in experience with each event. Have multiple races cooperate in building galactic companies. In addition to player races, there are a number of computer driven races pre programmed into the game to provide a greater diversity in combat, trading, and economics. Up
