The advantages are that they're less useful if someone retakes them, they can be sold in markets, and they produce in legions (or they did in NIC4 anyway). >Anyhow, any tips and advice would be appreciated. The best way to get population and locations is to team up with a location owner and train/lead his troops. The second best way is to summon something really tough and take out a location with it (but you'd better pick well...).
