Jealous! Jealous!

Almost cetainly what you want is the magic item for your primary troop
race. (Human - Excalibur, Elf - Bow of the Elven Kings, Dwarf - Axe of
the Dwarven Lords, Orc - Scimitar of Orc Mastery.)  All give _nice_
combat bonuses in duels, plus add one level to all troops of the
appropriate race led by the character.  Really nice.  Excalibur is
(marginally) the best weapon-wise, so if you have about equal numbers
of troops of different races, go for it.

If you get the holy sword too, you are incredibly lucky (it may happen,
I've never gotten a Genie).  It's a really nice weapon (always good,
though not quite as good as Excalibur, and its the best thing in the game
against undead).

If you're really into thieving, the invisble sword might be nice.  If
you _really_ need to learn a magic type, you might ask for the appropriate
tome (ask if you need to), but it's really a waste.  Much better to get an
awesome weapon and learn the magic from a hired character or in trade with
another player.

Stay away from the Feather of the Great Eagle, Crown of Dragon Command, and
Horn of Neptune.  All are good for a victory point, but not much else.
Any of the weapons are better.

Also, note that this does not take the item away from whoever currently
owns it, it just makes another one, so you could (for example), have two
holy swords, or whatever.
