SUGAR RAY results turn 19 From: fkschmid@cip.informatik.uni-erlangen.de (Frank Schmidt) Date: Fri, 03 Jun 1994 18:10:13 +0000 Turn 19 Match reports In Bronze, there was only one real match: Lame Duck vs. Accipiter. Although Accipiter was stronger, Lame Duck won by one point, and Accipiter was lucky that he wasn't knocked out by LD's slow punches. Fight analysis showed that Accipiter, busy keeping his fatigue low, was unable to stop his opponent's attacks and got hit several times. Three newcomers joined the Sugar Ray leagues: Django, The Warlock and Willy Scuidli. Django and The Warlock fell prey to Willy Scuidli for an unknown reason: Did they think they had to start with skill 10 and endurance 20? Did they think fatigue was cumulative? I really want to know. Well, Willy Scuidli is on his way to Silver. In Silver, David Hesserman and Claus-Peter Warnecke won both matches by KO; they were apparently much too strong for the others. In one of the closest matches of this week Maniac was beaten by Lamont Lovelady: a good second and third round brought both boxers to the edge of the KO, then Lamont just hid behind his gloves and watched Maniac attacking. In the middle of round 5, Maniac was so weak he couldn't stand on his feet and was declared KO. So Maniac continues his way down: From Gold to Silver and now to Bronze. In Gold, Thugo was maybe just unlucky as he lost both matches: Battlin Bob Brown was almost KO himself when Thugo went to the ground, and against Emil Sprett he had a clear point lead. Terrier lost both matches, too, but he avoided being knocked out (well, it was REALLY close against Battlin Bob). The deciding match who would be next challenger started with an offensive Emil Sprett, but Count Meout returned the favor in round two and three. Then Emil Sprett turned to defense, but not completely, and hit the Count without being hurt himself. In rounds 4 and 5 none of them was able to hit the other seriously, they just staggered to the ring like they were drunk, and were both declared KO (rumors say that one Alca Pone was seen near the ring...). The championship match was rather boring. Although Bomber Jack made a lot of hits he seemed to be rather happy to have lost. Something's going on here, but what? But now the results: Championship Robert Sprunk (26,41): 9/4 (34) 9/4 (27) 9/4 (20) 9/4 (13) 9/4 ( 6) PW Bomber Jack (26,40): 6/8 (35) 6/8 (30) 6/8 (25) 6/8 (20) 6/8 (15) GOLD Count Meout (26,31): 7/7 (26) 7/7 (23) 9/4 (14) 7/7 (11) 7/6 ( 9) PW Terrier (25,26): 8/5 (19) 7/7 (15) 7/7 ( 7) 5/7 ( 6) 5/7 ( 5) Battlin Bob Brown (26,31): 5/10(28) 9/4 (17) 9/4 ( 6) 7/7 ( 1) Thugo (25,29): 8/5 (26) 8/5 (15) 8/5 ( 4) 8/5 (-3) KO Count Meout (26,31): 7/7 (24) 9/4 (11) 9/4 ( 4) 7/7 ( 1) 7/6 (-1) KO Emil Sprett (26,33): 9/4 (24) 9/4 (11) 6/9 ( 7) 6/9 ( 3) 6/9 (-1) KO Battlin Bob Brown (26,31): 6/7 (27) 6/7 (25) 6/7 (23) 6/7 (21) 12/1 ( 7) PW Terrier (25,26): 8/5 (21) 7/7 (17) 7/7 (13) 5/7 (12) 5/7 ( 1) Emil Sprett (26,33): 7/7 (28) 7/7 (23) 7/7 (18) 7/7 (13) 7/7 (10) Thugo (25,29): 8/5 (22) 8/5 (15) 8/5 ( 8) 8/5 ( 1) 8/5 (-2) KO SILVER David Hesserman (20,41): 0/10(41) 0/10(41) 10/0 (23) 0/10(23) 10/0 ( 9) Dave Diva (20,31): 5/7 (28) 7/4 (25) 7/4 (10) 7/4 ( 7) 5/7 (-2) KO Lamont Lovelady (21,28): 0/10(28) 9/3 (14) 9/3 ( 2) 0/10( 2) 0/10( 2) Maniac (21,30): 8/4 (25) 7/6 (13) 6/6 ( 4) 6/6 ( 1) 6/6 (-2) KO Dave Diva (20,31): 5/7 (28) 7/4 (25) 5/7 (22) Alabaster (18,32): 0/0 (22) 0/0 ( 8) 0/0 (-2) KO Claus-Peter Warnecke(23,37): 5/7 (35) 9/3 (25) 9/3 ( 5) Maniac (21,30): 6/6 (27) 6/6 (18) 11/0 (-6) KO David Hesserman (20,41): 6/6 (35) 7/5 (22) 6/6 (18) 7/5 (13) 6/6 ( 3) Lamont Lovelady (21,28): 7/6 (22) 9/3 ( 8) 0/10( 8) 0/10( 8) 9/3 (-4) KO Claus-Peter Warnecke(23,37): 9/3 (33) 5/7 (31) 9/3 (27) Alabaster (18,32): 0/0 (14) 0/0 ( 4) 0/0(-14) KO BRONZE Walton-Bob (15,35): 0/0 (15) 0/0 (15) Songoku (18,30):10/4 (10) 10/4(-10) KO Accipiter (19,30): 3/5 (30) 5/4 (29) 5/4 (28) 5/4 (27) Dominating Dan (17,32): 0/0 (26) 0/0 (16) 0/0 ( 6) 0/0 (-4) KO Lame Duck (17,31): 6/4 (28) 6/4 (25) 6/4 (22) Walton-Bob (15,35): 0/0 (23) 0/0 (11) 0/0 (-1) KO Songoku (18,30): 7/7 (16) 7/4 (11) 0/10(10) 7/4 ( 5) Dominating Dan (17,32): 0/0 (18) 0/0 ( 4) 0/0 ( 4) 0/0(-10) KO Lame Duck (17,31): 5/5 (24) 5/5 (21) 6/4 (16) 6/4 (11) 6/4 ( 6) PW Accipiter (19,30): 7/1 (21) 5/4 (18) 5/4 (13) 5/4 ( 8) 5/4 ( 3) Django (17,32): 6/0 (27) 6/0 (20) 4/2 (16) 4/2 ( 8) 2/3 ( 8) PW The Warlock (17,32): 2/4 (28) 3/2 (20) 4/1 (14) 6/0 ( 5) 3/3 ( 5) Willy Scuidli (17,32): 6/5 (25) 6/5 (18) 6/5 (15) Django (17,32): 6/0 (19) 6/0 ( 7) 4/2 (-1) KO Willy Scuidli (17,32): 6/5 (29) 6/5 (26) 6/5 (23) 6/5 (18) The Warlock (17,32): 2/4 (28) 3/2 (20) 4/1 (10) 6/0 (-2) KO Matches in Turn 20: Championship: Robert Sprunk (26,42) vs. Emil Sprett (28,33) GOLD: David Hesserman (23,41) vs. Battlin Bob Brown (27,34) Claus-Peter Warnecke (26,37) vs. Bomber Jack (27,39) Battlin Bob Brown (27,34) vs. Count Meout (26,35) David Hesserman (23,41) vs. Claus-Peter Warnecke (26,37) Bomber Jack (27,39) vs. Count Meout (26,35) SILVER: Lamont Lovelady (22,28) vs. Dave Diva (21,31) Willy Scuidli (20,32) vs. Thugo (24,29) Lame Duck (19,32) vs. Lamont Lovelady (22,28) Terrier (26,24) vs. Dave Diva (21,31) Willy Scuidli (20,32) vs. Lame Duck (19,32) Thugo (24,29) vs. Terrier (26,24) BRONZE: The Warlock (17,31) vs. Songoku (18,31) Maniac (20,30) vs. Django (17,33) The Warlock (17,31) vs. Accipiter (21,29) Songoku (18,31) vs. Maniac (20,30) Django (17,33) vs. Accipiter (21,29) Pausing boxers: Azrael Xavier (24,35) (GOLD) Little Frank (24,19) (SILVER) Kenny Brett (19,28) (BRONZE) Munch Howitzer (20,25) (BRONZE) Duke (15,39) (BRONZE) Walton-Bob (15,35) (BRONZE) Boxers that can restart: (with (17,33) in league BRONZE) Alabaster 'Tiger' Honeycutt Leng Silluen Bill Trevis Michael Freeman Yogami The man Dominating Dan ends his career. :-( Gold record: Emil Sprett 10 -> challenges Robert Sprunk Count Meout 7 Battlin Bob Brown 6 NEWS AND STORIES ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jun 1 Issue 19 THE GLOVE AND PAIN 65c 1F 20Pf 3008Y ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- R: Hello Poys and Pals!
