Description:

In Res Publica 133BC, you play a politician in the ever-changing world of
the late Roman Republic. Whether you play a member of the Optimates or the
Populares, your goal is the same: seize absolute power and hold onto it as
long as you can.

Most players familiar with political simulations will get adjusted to the
game quickly, even if the political system leaves the player more freedom
than modern democracies do. Among the features unique to the game are:

- Individual as well as party momentum.

- Different types of momentum reflecting the player's popularity with the
people, the aristocracy, and the military.

- An assassination system allowing players to eliminate unpopular opponents.

- The ability to alter the organs of state as needed.
