In 1989 I entered the world of Imaginary Wrestling, 17 years later the
game is still the same...

June 2006, the National Wrestling Syndicate kicks off the revolution...

What makes NWS different? Change.

A simple, one word answer to what could be a complicated question. What
you have before you is the base of a game that will continue to grow,
challenge and involve the player-base.

We aren't looking at the games that came before us for inspiration. We are
looking at the great players we've seen, we're looking at the great
wrestling we enjoyed. We're looking at atmosphere, attitude, enjoyment and
most of all involvement.

Imagination can't thrive on stagnant data. We're looking at the MMORPGs as
an example. Updates, new and/or expanded content. Most of all a sense of
involvement and ownership. The wrestler you create will be unique to you
as he or she progresses thru a career.

What's in development? First up will be Items. Purchase weapons, attire
and enhancements to give your wrestler an edge against the competition.
Following closely will be the 'help/hurt' modification to the match
engine, making it possible to interfere in other wrestler's matches.

On the horizon we have the Impact system, making it possible to shave an
opponent's head, spray paint him, injure him and have the damage reflected
in performance. Not only will the impact system allow wrestlers to effect
each other it will allow for the implementation of 'challenges' like the
old Body Slam and Arm Wrestling challenges of the past. The thing to
remember about the Impact system is that we can tailor it to your
ideas...you aren't relying on us to give you options, you're creating your
own!

We are actively testing a system that would allow players to create items
and apparel for their wrestlers, rather than sticking to the generic Items
that will be available soon. We expect this to go live with the Impact
System, making it possible to put on item vs. item matches.

Of course we are tinkering with the idea of adding midget wrestlers
somewhere down the line...should there be interest. We'll stop with the
stuff "in the works" now, but be assured what remains will make this game
like none other.

What do you have with NWS at startup? NWS at launch offers more creative
control than any other game out there. You create a wrestler, you choose
his/her strengths and weaknesses. The holds you choose are impacted by
those strengths and weaknesses. Even the matches you take part in and the
places they occur effect your wrestler differently from the others on the
roster! All based on your choices.

NWS boasts a realistic wrestling roster with both male and female
wrestlers in the same 'territory' working for the same company. A renewed
focus on the lost art of Tag Team wrestling with a separate system
designed to stimulate the creation of Tag Team specialists, just like in
the real world.

Unique territories with their own quirks. Every territory has a back-story
and history that makes it a great place to play! Territory specific venues
that add to the charm and story of the promotion...from garages and
driveways, to bars, auditoriums and arenas. Last but not least...each
territory has it's own specialty match...this match will never occur in
another NWS territory!

Perhaps most important of all NWS creates a legacy for it's competitors.
Every turn in NWS represents 3 months in the territory. After 12 months of
NWS play a territory will have 3 years of history to catalog and report
on. This means true to the results 'hall of Fame' possibilities, not to
mention the bragging rights that come with being among the best.

NWS is about creating a true wrestling environment. We want you to enjoy
Imaginary Wrestling again!
