This is not quite correct.  Warmounts add CF, sometimes AF and CAF, and
sometimes SA to a character when mounted.  However, in confined territory
(when attacking ruins and lairs), all characters and soldiers are forced
to dismount, and they receive *no* bonuses from the mounts (no SA).  In
Realm 5, I had a nice little army of soldiers on 100 warsnakes (SA 50 each).
I was using them to do cleanup stuff, and I attacked a lair with a mature
dragon.  The lair's encounter orders caused the dragon to attack me first,
at which point the combat was outside the lair.  My special attack fried him,
I lost a warsnake (1 in each front slot, 95 in a rear slot), and I took the
lair uncontested.  I tried this against a second dragon, only this time,
no encounter orders.  My troops dismounted, I didn't get a special attack,
and I lost half of my snakes before the rest ran away.
