Role-Play by E-Mail!!! From: mrhappy@cerfnet.com (Mr. Happy) Date: Mon, 29 Aug 1994 00:24:14 +0000 In my search for Play By E-Mail games on the Net, I have yet to find an organized database of ongoing games campaigns and interested players and GMs. With that, I would like to volunteer for such a position. I have created a Play By E-Mail Mailing List, that will be mailed out on occasion to those on the list. To register yourself in my database, send me a message at mrhappy@cerfnet.com with the subject heading: PBEM List. Have the message contain your name, email address, and a list of games you want to play or GM, as well as ratings of your experience in each game (1=never played but very interested, 2=played a few times, 3=experienced, 4=very experienced, 5=several years worth of experience). Also, please list the games in the order you wish to play them. If unsure of a specific game, you may give a general category of game you're interested in (wargame, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.) For example, my entry would look like this, Mr. Happy (Robert Neaves) -- mrhappy@cerfnet.com Call of Cthulhu Player/GM 4 Torg GM 2 Ars Magica Player 2 Interests: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror In addition, send along any info you find on games in progress, about to start, or would like to run. These will be added to the list also, ready for players and GMs alike to respond to, if they wish. As another example, I'll include info on a Torg game I'm starting soon, Title: INVASION Game System: Torg Category: sci-fi/horror/fantasy/cyberpunk Starting: 8-31-94 Finished: Open-Ended Contact: Mr. Happy (Robert Neaves) -- mrhappy@cerfnet.com Description: Beginning with 10-15 players scattered throughout the globe when the invasion first hit Earth in the Near Now, as described in the Torg Boxed Set. Characters begin as Core Earth Ords, who may or may not become Storm Knights. Players are welcome after the game begins. I will mail the list out occasionally, but to request an immediate copy of the list send me a message with the subject heading: PBEM List Request. I am _not_ volunteering to coordinate the games, or to assign players to games, I am merely keeping a list for your convenience in starting a game up.
