PBEM Conquistador anyone? From: A.Poulter@lut.ac.uk (Alan Poulter) Date: Sat, 03 Sep 1994 16:18:49 +0000 Calling all Conquistadors!, I am looking for up to 4 players for a PBEM of 'Conquistador', the old 1976 S&T game on the colonisation of the New World. AH later reprinted the game. You must have a copy of the game to play. I will allow players to choose countries once I know the number of people interested. If you just want to observe, and not play, let me know. Any email to me should use 'CON' in the subject. For PBEM I want to play each game turn over two weeks, requiring one set of orders from players per week. PBEM rules and a form showing the game setup are available from me by email (please use 'CON' in the subject) or by FTP from:- suna.lut.ac.uk/public/lsap/con/pbmrules.txt " /setup.txt Another file, called 'playergm.txt', is also available. This details how I intend to both GM and play in the game. The player-GM system has been used successfully to PBEM Empires of the Middle Ages. It gives the player-GM no intrinsic advantage over the other players, and allows the effort of GMing to be rewarded by playing. -- | Alan Poulter, Lecturer Email: | | Dept of Information and Lib Studies a.poulter@lut.ac.uk | | Loughborough University apoulter@nyx.cs.du.edu | | LE11 3TU, UK oriole@world.std.com | | Tel: 0509 223061/Fax: 0509 223053 *PGP 2.6 Public Key on request* | Up
