LEGENDS MEGA ITEM LIST UPDATE

UPDATE UPDATE.  Please read.

I have updated the NIC list.  With moving, entries were made into two
seperate files which have now been merged into one list.  If anything
you have sent me has been missed in this process please re-mail me.

The Legends MEGA Item and Monster lists are now available via ftp.
To get them:

ftp ftp.astro.cf.ac.uk
username: anonymous
password: your e-mail address

cd /pub/outgoing/Items

LINKS HAVE BEEN SET UP SO THAT IF YOU CAN GET THE LATEST VERSION OF EACH
LIST BY ftping:

coa.lis
roi.lis
nic.lis
monsters.lis

The raw files in that directory of the form:

NameVersionnumber.lis

eg. the current files are:

roi003.lis   The 13-08-93 files have become version 1.
 nic022.lis   ******  CURRENT VERSION
 coa002.lis
 mons065.lis

Difference files:

nic5-6.dif
mons5-6.dif
roi2-3.dif
coa1-2.dif

It makes obvious what two versions it is the difference between.  This
file can be used to generate the later version from the earlier version
using the unix command `patch'.  Besides that, it is very useful for
pulling out the NEW additions to the list.

Hopefully this file names will be compatible to all users.

I will post the lists on the net at least once a month for those who
cannot ftp them.
