I like MEPBM also, especially if you are on the net.  There is a substantial
body of knowledge about relative player starting positions and game
mechanics that is required to play well, and that is more readily
available on the net than otherwise.  Once you have acquired this knowledge,
there is still wide scope for different approaches to the game.
Another major advantage of the net is that you can easily communicate
with fellow players without massive phone bills or long mail delays.
A disadvantage is that it can suck all the time you let it, if you get
really involved in a few games. :-)
