Tom's already told me that the QSN have no intention of returning or selling the BSs...so why should I even bother talking to you about it? Have you even rejoined the game or are you still stuck in "observation mode"? I'll also remind you that the BSs are just ships...pretty soon we may even start taking orders and selling them on the open market...(hey, if you cannot control something one way ...do it another.) Besides, it won't be long before the FGZ have a new design... My "intention" was to get the ships back for myself...or have them destroyed: at the same time, I would have "liked" to stave off a war w/ the QSN, but quite frankly...I could care less. You know where I am ...and I know where the QSN is....I'll remind you that Mike is the one that got me into this mess....what he lost is his embarasement and loss, not mine. Unlike the QSN I don't have to "posture"...instead of having those ships hang around Odus...show some "spunk" start that uprising against the IMPs the QSN has always wanted to do...you've got the ships, the money, the production...hey, what are you waiting for? Or does the QSN pick they prey more carefully....one man affilations? As for me, this has gotten "BORING". The SF is the smaller one that no one's built in a while, while SH's are quite plentiful, and the IMP would get frequent requests from several alien aff. for 'em (pre-entropy). Also, in regards to small ships, keep in mind the still unclear limits of the new region. If we wipe too many small ships, there may be nothing but only a couple classes left to enter the new areas. The CL & CA will be needed to fight the battles out there, if the limit is set to 49> hulls. Your own RIP will need a new class too, since the RIP WG can't take fight. If the HDN are wiped as so many have requested, then there are 2 more ships to add to the list. And since we're on the subject of ships, since there seems to still be some confusion over this, here are 2 clarifications for all concerned: [1] IMP law concerning Dreadnoughts, was changed effective the week after Origin's '93. I relayed the complaints to Jim & Wayne, and the revised law was immediately faxed into ABM. For the last 1.5 years, the revised law was changed deleting the word ISP, and including an extra line; it reads: No affiliations other that IMP may possess Dreadnoughts without the permission of the ISP PD. (This allows for rewards to the companies). [2] there seems to be some confusion about ships being able to be built by the companies. Shortly after Origin's '93, ABM changed the rules. Mike P., in the guise of PD Darien of the EEM removed the restriction on the companies so that each company was allowed to choose 1 human freighter which it could build at will (by human , MP defined as EEM ship classes). The IMP was authorized 6 ship classes (as a government) which were distributed amongst the 3 branches (ISS, ICN/ISP, ITS). At the time of the collapse, many companies were still unaware of this, and had not yet chosen a freighter yet. Furthermore, shortly after I became ISP PD, I removed the restrictionon PB's so that all companies could now possess them freely (reason was that alien warships were too deadly for anything smaller). While the game is starting back up, since these pieces of info apparently had some trouble getting around, then, they might prove useful now (especially considering some of the things proposed here). As I remember it, we researched birth control at Barrataria more than ten years ago, or thereabouts. Came up with a method that would reduce the rate down as low as 10% of normal, but at very high morale cost. When we left the game we were researching combining a brith control drug with some sort of happy juice to reduce the morale shot. Eric R. As to the type that the SMS chose, once again, that is something that RTG could easily fix. Remember this is just for discussion anyway. RTG is the one that is going to have to make the decision.
