ARENA: Forming matches by record? From: phredd@casbah.acns.nwu.edu (Phredd Groves) Date: Thu, 10 Nov 1994 17:51:44 +0000 Just got the new matches for tonight. The three top gladiators, who all occupy the same arena, still have not gotten a chance to face each other: [84] Huh? (0-1-1) will fight [385] Ziplock (3-0-0) in Arena [68]. [67] Captain Necropolis (4-0-0) will fight [387] Frub (0-0-1) in Arena [68]. [386] Loket Olsson (3-0-0) will fight [381] Mirage (1-0-0) in Arena [68]. Poor Huh? has already been defeated by Captain Necropolis. I'll be betting on Ziplock to win that battle. Frub doesn't look like he'll have much chance against the good Captain. Mirage might have what it takes to take out Loket, but he'll be at a monetary disadvantage [and that money translates into training]. Is it possible to get the arena matchmaker to weight records when assigning matches? I made an effort to have Captain Necropolis available for a match against either Loket or Ziplock. I'd really like to get a chance for Captain Necropolis to face a really tough opponent. There's a good chance that the consistant winners will just keep on winning and winning if they keep getting matches against newer, untried and untrained gladiators. It's going to be a long time before anyone wins 30 matches and moves on. Also, how about a challenge arena? I'd like to be able to issue specific challenges to opponents sometimes. It'd be nice if that were possible somewhere other than a death arena. I do have to admit, I'm enjoying being #1 for as long as it lasts. :) My .02 phredd [coach for Captain Necropolis, Dr. Lethe, HellHound] -- UnderstandthatthechainsaremagicalandtheystraintokeepyouwhereyouareI'llbefoundat UT! | phredd@nwu.edu thebaseofthecanyonI'llbetornfromthewreckofthemotorLetthecranetakebacktheenginle p.s. for the The Black Knight - Shouldn't you be calling yourself Referenced By Up
