Or have you just decided that Imperial law does not apply to you? I am refering of course to your purchase request for 6 DN's. Only the very truly deserving (such as myself) have ever had LEGAL permission to own one of these very fine (and hideously slow) vessels. Just checking before Steve beat me to it. :) In all fun and jesting, Rick Burningham ------------------------------ From: btb4@Lehigh.EDU (B T Braun) Date: Thu, 10 Nov 1994 10:08:22 EST Subject: Re: BSE: Ships Rick, The USS has never taken it's "piece of the Imperium" all that seriously. The ionic vortex from so many drives is liable to swamp my poor little BBs, not to mention the awesome firepower of 10,000 or so weapons going off at once (not to mention what the IMPs bring). They're fairly simple questions and I thought I'd post them here so everyone could see. Please be patient with me if they've already been asked and answered before. 1. What materials will be required to build CRL's? 2. When the change over to the new system occurs, will colonies that are switching to Research Colonies get a chance to change some of their factories directly into CRL's or will all CRL's have to be built from scratch? 3. I saw an offer by RTG to let players send in their old ships to be re- instated into the game. What happens to old ships that don't have qualified captains? Should I bother to try and get my Frigate with an Ensign re-instated? 4. At what level will the ALR start for new postions? Thanks in advance for your answers Thad and Pete... I was filling out turn sheets last night and looking over past results, and I was reminded of the colony GTT Agnello's Triumph. What is the current status of this colony? Is it still in GTT hands or has it been returned to the FET with its old name restored? Alan ------------------------------ From: RTGThad@aol.com Date: Sun, 13 Nov 1994 10:38:26 -0500 Subject: BSE: Status Report Hi guys! Just a brief note to let everybody know that we are proceeding on course with all the upgrades and so forth. I am incorporating all the new rules into a new version of the rulebook. Hopefully, this will be done by the end of the month, as well as the short term programming changes we need to make. If that holds up, the new rules will come on line at the beginning of the year. We are getting a steady stream of verteran players returning and an equally steady stream of new players signing up. We will be providing a list of all the TRN positions to all the AFF PDs as soon as we can, so everybody has a chance to do some recruiting. There are quite a large number of TRN positions landed at Jax, if anyone cares to get a scan from there, lots of new faces that could be recruited for your AFF. If we can, we want to include EMail addresses with addresses picked up by scanning for convenience, so we will publicize that with the new version of the rules. Well, all for now!
