Paintball based PBEM game - looking for players From: Jaeger (Jaeger) Date: Wed, 16 Nov 1994 23:10:59 +0000 I have been running a Paintball based play-by-email game for the last few months and I want to try adding more players on that are looking to try a 'net game but don't want to have to do role playing or memorize 25 pages of rules to make a move. (I only have 2 pages) If you've played Paintball, you already know half of the rules and a lot of your move is in just plain English: "I'll move 1 hex East and fire twice" There are a few other things as far as cover and % to hit your target that follow normal play where it would be harder to hit someone in a shack than behind some brush. I'll handle all the rolls and everyone sees the results updated on the map and in the blow-by-blow description in the next message. I have 6-8 steady players that have been giving me suggestions on things they liked or how things should be changed to make it more fun. I'm opening the game up to the first (12) or so people that want to check it out and realize that it's still under development, but can answer their mail on a regular basis. We typically had a move a day (M-F), but with a larger group I should probably move it to a turn every other weekday. So if it sounds like something you want to try, send me a message at: jaeger@wpine.com and I will send out the game rules to you. I want to get the next game going on November 28th. Thanks, Jaeger Referenced By Up
