Neal, whose parole hearing was scheduled for next month, was killed by fellow inmates who were upset that he failed to join them. The riot was put down when a company of ISP marines joined the prison guards. The prisoners claimed that the riot was over better living conditions and food. Retired ISP Commodore-turned-governor, Deal, had this to say: "the animals get what they deserve. If they want luxury living, then they should break the laws." ISP Admiral Belker, once commander of Commodore Deal, had this to say about his one-time subordinate: "asshole." Which rules are going into effect when? Did anything happen on the 15th? If so, what? Just the new colony rules? In any case, where are the new rules available? Not all of us have access to Compuserve or AOL, and believe it or not, there are even a few colony governers who struggle along without Internet access. The Thunder BBS doesn't have any of the new material, just a text file of the old (pre-RTG) rules, and one containing the new ownership announcement. I know a draft set of changes appeared on this list, but there has been much discussion since then, and if an official revised draft of new rules appeared, I missed it. How can I get it? g ------------------------------ From: Alan Hatcher <ZU02380@UABDPO.DPO.UAB.EDU> Date: Sun, 20 Nov 94 07:23:13 CST Subject: Re: BSE: Rules Confusion Kerry doesn't seem to advertise it much, but there is an anonymous FTP site at IO.COM that has some material available, including the new rules plus the supplement that added some errata to them. He also keeps the past issues of the Digest of this list there, along with some other assorted things. I believe the directory is /usr/pub/kerry/bse, but don't take that as gospel. George, The new version of the rules are not ready, nor have any of the proposed changes taken effect yet and I doubt they will until sometime 1st quarter 95. Beginning immediately, WCE Odin's eye will build ships and supply upgrades at *1000 per hull. This is still one of the lowest prices in the game, and those who are in the process of obtaining ships already (including the USS PD), will receive their ships at the earlier price. In addition, please be patient with delivery dates right now. I addition to filling all these ship orders, Odin's Eye is frantically working to ensure that there it remains at 100% production capacity when the new morale rules hit. To all WCE members: This announcement does not affect you. Your ships hulls come from a different place, and are not available for building non-WCE ships.
