BSE: Newbie affilliation? After downloading all the rules from erg.sri.com, it looks like its worth a try, especially given all the internet interest in the game. Anyway, we were wondering about affilliations. The rules mention that there might be new ones available to new players and I would imagine that some are much more dynamic than others. I was wondering if any current players could let me know what the current state of affairs is regarding affilliations. I personally want to explore and do a bit of trading on the side. From the descriptions, the ISS seems best for me. I'm concerned about not getting any support if I join a poorly organized affilliation but also I don't want to be just another small cog in a very large wheel. (*Yawn* "Another newbie....OK, assign him to that boring asteriod field, just to make sure that there is nothing interesting there.....") Anyway, any advice/info. would be greatly appreciated....
