OTF: Fezzan battle From: keith.langley@mdcs.com (Keith Langley) Date: Thu, 01 Dec 1994 17:42:11 +0000 One True Faith game #2 turn 1: 11/29/94 BATTLE OF FEZZAN between Chicane's forces and agnostic defenders. Chicane's army found itself outmatched in its assault on Fezzan. Both forces were composed mainly of lightly armed human swordsmen, and both chose the Wall tactic to make the most of their infantry. Equal in infantry, the native Moroccans had a significant missile edge with their ballista and hobgoblin rocket launchers, and their cavalry was strengthened by a hero riding a roc. As the armies approached, Fezzan's artillery weakened the advancing swordsmen, so that when the lines made contact the defending line was quite a bit stronger. A few of Chicane's units managed to escape destruction. Chicane's attackers: outcome: 1 shm bow 1 slain by swordsmen 1 hob wolf with hE 1 slain by cavalry hE eaten by large bird 4 shm sw 1 slain by ballista 1 slain by swordsmen 2 disrupted; retreated 2 carts 2 retreated Agnostic defenders: 1 hob rkt 1 slain by arrows 1 shm balS 1 shm cav with shm roc hE 4 shm sw 1 disrupted Up
