samurai armies, players wanted From: jabmalin@dingo.cc.uq.oz.au (Bret Malinas) Date: Mon, 12 Dec 1994 08:26:10 +0000 I am thinking of starting a new game up. It should take a year or two to play, as each turn is monthly. It is about samurai armies. Players can choose to be monks, shogunate generals and daimyo, to name a few. I will screen the participant by giving all applicants a battle to fight, to see if they can master the rules and make sure they won't make a fool of themselves in the real game. You will have to send me a stamp of 75 cents (Australian) to be sent the rules. After that please send a 45 cent stamp for you to receive each turn from me. The objective of the game is to capture the emperor and defeat the old Shogun, and you will win. It takes a lot of alliances and strategy, as well as some research to find out the proper way battles can be hoped to be won. Basically it's free and great fun. I am the co-ordinator. Send your letter of interest to Bret Malinas, Dept of Japanese and Chinese Studies, University of Queensland, St Lucia Qld 4072 Australia. My email address is: b.malinas@mailbox.uq.oz.au. Japanese are most welcome to apply. It isn't too hard, I was playing it in high school. It's called "Bushido". That's all. Bret. Referenced By Up
