Black Lotus, at least, is addictive, and once you get your colonists started on it, you get some massive morale penalties if you don't continue to supply them with it. I don't know about cevene, but I'd check it out too before you use it. Hardly, it is not me who will seceed...The Ataman will be removed. There is much confussion as to who is who. I am Lord Den of Earth. I am the one who has made the TH FGZ what they are today...and much of the Per. V'Ril T'Bak has been in great disappointment to me. He has attacked without provocation an EKN colony, he has lost 2 BSs to the QSN who have been allies with the FGZ from the very begining. He has attack an unarmed IMP ship, (howbeit under question surcumstances) and now....this..." VQ (Victory over Qumans) day, which is set to be celebrated the 8th of January, commemorates the end of the end of the QSN-WCE war of 193. The 8th was selected because it marks the anniversary of the second massacre over Soul Cage, where a large portion of the QSN warfleet was dismantled by WCE disrupters. The 8th also marks a black day in Quman history, because in that battle, the entire QSN Unitredd Council was lost when the QSN flagship was obliterated by WCE fire in the first round of battle. The resulting shock and confusion within the Quman homeworlds resulted in the recall of the entire Quman fleet, as angry mobs of Quman citizens took to the streets demanding the killing stop. In all, the Quman Space Navy lost over 60 ships in its war with the WCE. Festivities are slated to begin on New Years Eve, which marks the anniversary of the other significant battle in the war, the New Years Eve Massacre, the first battle over Soul Cage. General Secretary Horst Treyder is slated to attend the festivities, and it is rumored that, at these festivities, he will make an announcement that will change the course of WCE history. This reporter has been unable to obtain any official information concerning this announcement, but observers here speculate that this announcement can only portend a significant shift in the WCE's economic policy. It is a well-known fact here that Treyder does not believe that the current socialistic policies of the WCE are viable in the light of the free trademarket which currently dominates the Greater Periphery. Consequently, many here feel that Treyder will announce some type of adjustment to the WCE economy which will allow some type of free market competition by the WCE within the Greater Periphery. The big question on the minds of people here, though, is: just how big of an "adjustment" will Treyder make? He informs me that Cevene while not lethal to humans, has the side effect of being deadly. That while it gives a +40 morale boost while you give it, if you ever stop (if for some reason your supply dries up or is interrupted), that the drug is instantly addictive and alters your colonists so that they die without it. Kinda an all or nothing sort of drug. since no supply is permanent, it's safer to not use the drug, rather than lose your colony population.
