DUELMASTERS : My point of view about strickers From: laurent@dsvgre.cea.fr (Olivier LAURENT) Date: Wed, 07 Dec 1994 14:34:12 +0000 Hello Duelmasters trainers, May be because it is one of the simpliest style to understand, I started Duelmasters with a lot of strickers. I would like today to share my thought with you. The strickers is a rich and powerfull style. It may seem barren for a beginner but I think that it is the best style to crunch total parry and to gain the first blow. In my opinion there are two ways to create strikers. - WIT + SP This combination allows the creation of very fast strickers (I know at least one example of such a stricker who always hit first). This a STRENGHT, STAMINA, WILL of about 9 they can fight for about 4 minutes. Surprisingly these strickers are prone to learn all the speed skills but are really good at RIPOSTE too. - WIT + WILL This combination allws the creation of endurant strickers. My favorite stricker I play at ADM is able to fight for 9 minutes in 8-8 and generally attacks 10 times a minute. People may think that strickers are not good at attacking (compared to aimed blow for example) but this proved to be a mistake. Actually these strickers are prone to learn attacks skills. Combined with their great endurance (compared to bashers or lungers) and the number of critical hit they can produce, their skills make them the best TP killer I have ever seen (DURANDAL -TP- 21-2 vs WARDUKE 18-14, DURANDAL out in 2 minutes, the same with RAMP LIMACE 33-18 in 3 minutes and don't forget that 3 minutes is the beginning of the fight for these strickers). The best strategy to use with both is Vivacity. 10 10 4 V - works weel but is exhausting 10 10 3 - - allows greater punching power 6 4 4 - - is you have riposte skills 8 8 4, 4 4 4 The rule (for me) is to keep offensive level and activity close to each other (no more than 2 points between them). Since the strickers are adapted to all weapon it's easy to take advantage of your favorite weapon (and you favorite strategy). They can take advantage of a small or medium shield. For hand/feet fight they can blow away a lot of aimed blow since they have an bigger aggressivity. Okey that's all. I hope that you have comments. I'm looking for infos on all other style, expecially parry-riposte, parry-lunge. See you soon, Olivier LAURENT Up
