Monster Island.

If you like the idea of being a stomping, yelling, farting, ass-kicking
monster with a funny twist, this is the game for you. You have several
monster races to choose from, ranging from sleek furrcats, muscular Normans,
sinuous vipers, to over-weight fatblobs. Seven in all. You start out being
washed ashore from a shipwreck, as one of four survivors. All you own is
your haversuit (a suit made from a haversack), and a piece of driftwood
to use as a club. Over the next few turns you have to figure how to use the
island's rescources (plants and animal parts) to make various items, from
new weapons to armour to miscellaneous items, such as the spyglass. The
longer you play, the more powerful you get. Eventually you may concider
worshipping one of the three gods available, or refrain while waiting for
the demi-gods to show up. Worshippers advance in rank from Neophyte to
Acolyte to Disciple. At this level you gain access to spells. The next rank
is Priest, but this takes a lot of doing, and is impossible for one of the
sects as of yet. I have not heard of anyone that have made Priest status
yet. The game is open-ended, and can take up to 15.000 players at the same
time. Co-operation is a key word later in the game, for rebuilding temples,
forts and such. Also, bashing followers of the other gods is fun. If you
have reached Acolyte rank, you can get ressurected if you are ever killed.
Three's the limit, die a fourth time, and you're out. Also, there are heavy
stat penalties for dying.
