NARD'ZARD'ZHOK FGZ BATON RUZE ------------------------------ From: Jackmyster@aol.com Date: Mon, 2 Jan 1995 08:59:52 -0500 Subject: BSE: FGZ Speak FGZ NeverWhere- Lord Den of Earth held a press conference today for the purpose of contending with all the posturing that certain IMP tyrants are subjecting readers of the Digest to.... "First, let us begin with how this conflict began. The ITS Freighter...(you know the one whose smoking remains are now floating over FGZ Flagritzville) The colony governor was "duped" by the ISP into selling 15,000 Photon's for 4 million stellers; (or at least that is the story the FGZ have been told...). Now, the FGZ would never have agreed to such an outlandish deal...and even if we would, the price would be around 15000000. We found an ITS ship "stealing" (in our view) Photons. We posted it, and destroyed the ship....face it, the wIMPs were caught with their "wee wees" in the sheep, (THAT was a slap in the face!) and now they are trying to CWA by blamimg the FGZ. Next, this is the only attack by the FGZ. The ISP Dreadnought, engaged an unarmed FGZ Scout and blew it up....(want battle reports to this effect?) The FGZ would also never be as stupid as to engage the dreadnought fleet with a Scout....that is something the wIMPs would try...we were doing something...else. Oh, and as for the captured Malanthos at Demons Gorge...anyo ne want any? Contact the FGZ.... As far as "Threatening the lives of 100,000 coloniests"... I think the leaders know Den of Earth better than that..."" "So, the IMPs would like to try their hand at "genocide"?....On old Earth...there was a leader named Custer....(obviously the IMPs have been studied his tactics). Relative of von Ludendorf's?"....<Den grinning widely> Lord Den of Earth ------------------------------ From: steve668@dallas.relay.ucm.org Date: Mon, 2 Jan 1995 16:35:40 CST Subject: BSE: FGZ Speak > As far as "threatening the lives of 100,000 colonists..... Again, they are still retained. > (want battle reports to this effect?) Don't need 'em... I have originals of BOTH scouts attacking, and can post both myself. > So the IMP's would try their hand at Genocide..... If I had wanted war, you would already have been under attack. You gave me a time and an agreement, i'm keeping my part of the agreement. But, Jack, you had best keep your boy, Mike, on a tight leash, 'cause i'm getting tired of his little stunts to provoke me into attacking you. On a player basis, the overwhelming majority of IMP players voted for war, but i'm still holding them back. The balls still in your court if you want peace. And, this is the only time i'll respond to this publicly. Steve ------------------------------ From: Marilith1@aol.com Date: Mon, 2 Jan 1995 20:55:37 -0500 Subject: BSE: Re: No Subject As much as I hate to admit it the IMP's have indeed recaptured the system of Jovian. Moving on what was a drasticly reduced colony from what it was before I left the game, they managed to pretty much wipe out both ground and space rings in short order. Unfortunately for them they allowed their normal me time to move in re-enforcements that in-abled me to destroy an additional 5 IMP ships. The IMP losses were as follows: In the first week they lost: ICN Starrover (DN), ISP Lothringen (DN), ISP Kronpritz (DN) and ISP Grosser Kurfuerst. In the second week they lost: ITS Prinz Luitpold (DN), ISP Hannover (DN), ISP Markgraf (DN), ISP Rheinland (DN) as well as the acting ITS Flagship, a captured RIP Corsair. In addition to ship losses, in the first week they lost Admiral Allen Landover aboard teh ICN Starrover, and in the second week they lost Vice Admiral Graf von Monts aboard the ITS Prinz Luitpold. I can confirm that 342 work slaves were rescued as well as an additional 1908 colonists. All that remained of the original colonies population. They captured 12 Leodian Teleporters, which I am sure they will make good use of. They also managed to collect 810 Plague Shells, all of which were to be used against IMP colonies in retaliation for the detonating of an 2 atmospheric bombs on the FOE planet Karigon. If they think they have captured anything but this they are sadly mistaken. The one pisoner on the colony, was a member of the original GTT ground forces assigned to defend the colony. He stayed brave and refused to be turned to the way of Foebeus which is more than can be said about the now FOE Admiral Jay Seafeather. Any rumors created about other loses are just that, rumors. I congratulate the IMP leaders for finally taking an action that should have happened years ago. <ooc> For the record, offically the FOE have now lost thier second battle against the IMP. The can argue all they want about the battle last year, but the then GM's final decision was that I did not happen. I still possess they captured DN's as well as Admiral Seafeather. The IMP's will declare GM interf erence but I can honestly say that if the GM's had not interfered on thier behalf two years ago the IMP body count would have been much higher during that offensive. Wade ------------------------------ From: steve668@dallas.relay.ucm.org Date: Tue, 3 Jan 1995 06:50:54 CST Subject: BSE: Re: No Subject > ...the battle last year never happened... Right, sure Wade, and the SMS aren't flying around in a Devastator that wasn't captured in that battle. Remember FOE Abraxus? It's SMS now. > ...FOE Adm. Seafeather.... Wade, there were *2* battles that occured at Upreach last year, and the FOE lost both of them. The first involved Seafether, and the FOE lost him. So if you want to declare a demon named Seafeather as an Admiral, more power to ya. But, the only battle MP declared didn't happen (which was still BS, as you know), was the 2nd battle at Upreach itself. Now, as for declaring battles invalid, i'm having that investigated myself, on the second battle of demon's Gorge... seems strange that a shadowgate was operational *AFTER* it should've collapsed due to the colony being reduced to below class-5. Especially, when the colony printout shows on wk 51, the hiport collapsing because the colony had been reduced below class-5, then afterwards a turn being run trying to shovel all that stuff through. So the 2nd group may not be destroyed after all (the battle merely being fought with the 40 SF the colony had left). Steve M. p.s. ITS Flagship never was a flagship. "Flagship" was the name of the captured RIP Corsair when I captured it, and the then RIP top admiral. I kept the name to gall Neil. The ICN Admiral informs me that he escaped the battle in a lifepod and is now aboard a replacement ship (don't bitch at me... that's another players decision; I don't play that way). ------------------------------ From: Derek Smith <Derek_Smith.LOTUS@crd.lotus.com> Date: 3 Jan 95 10:44:18 ES Subject: BSE: -No Subject- Steve M. said: >of demon's Gorge... seems strange that a shadowgate was operational >*AFTER* it should've collapsed due to the colony being reduced to >below class-5. I don't pretend to be completely up-to-date here, but I believe a careful study will reveal that the FOE need a Class 5+ to *BUILD* a ShadowGate, not to *OPERATE* one. So it looks like there won't be any miraculous resurrections or ships "blowing up in reverse" this time. Pity.
